Jo's 18!!!

I can't believe Joanna turned 18. It doesn't seem real. The time really does just fly by. We had a fun time together. We had the birthday dinner and played games. Everyone told tons of stories and we laughed sooo much. I love the fun memories. I even got to hear several I had never heard before....that's what happens after they are old enough not to get into trouble! Then you get to hear the crazy things they did when they were younger. We heard the one about Josh and Jake shooting a wild pig with their bb guns ( whoo hoo!) and getting chased up a tree. We heard when they left their bb guns in the yard and 3 year old Jamie picks one up and shoots it at them (trying to be like the big brothers). We heard about Joanna jumping off the ladder when Jake convinced her she could fly (broke her leg). Another where Josh convinced Jo to let him shoot his paintball gun at the hat on her head while she stood very still...missed and hit her forehead. When the kids caught fish at the neighbors pond and kept them in 100 degree heat by the porch til Dad got home to see. Ooooh... that one stunk!! There were so many funny stories. I loved it!

Josh just got a new motorcycle. I told him I do not want any of the phone calls like in the past. Nope. Can't handle that. If you know our family's episodes with motorcycles you will understand. Too many accidents. No, really, I do hope he has fun, just safely. Maybe I am the only one scared of those things. :)

Happy Halloween everyone! We got together and made our annual jack-0-lanterns.
Here are some pictures. It was tons of fun! Jo is driving...alot, eeek! and she's getting braces tomorrow - a great way to celebrate Halloween :) She also has her first 'college' art show coming up and everyone is invited. It's Dec. 1st to the 7th.

Update, Update. Well, nothings really happening. Jim is working on making a shed in the backyard out of the little house he started. Jo and I are going to school. We are into midterms and doing pretty good. Jake is in his midterm also. Emily is always helping somebody. Jamie and Mike are looking to find a house to live in off base. Jess and Chris are planning to come see us for Christmas. Josh and Kim are working all the time. The weather is beautiful and perfect (knock on wood!) We are in the middle of painting the inside of the house. It's a bit crazy. Lots of different colors! We are battling some fruitflies that landed in the kitchen. We will win. Jim is battling heel spurs.
And Muffin is having a great time chasing the rabbits in the yard.

First day of college!!

Tomorrow is the first day of college for Joanna and Jacob. Also, Jessica starts next week on some classes, and Josh and...Cindy. Crazy, huh?
We are very excited for everyone and know everyone will do great. Lots of different schedules and some are online some are traditional. But we know everyone will do great.
Today was a great day. Joanna taught the 5 year olds in Primary at Church. Jimmy is the High Priest Group leader and took care of all the things he had to do. Cindy went to visit the Church in Searcy. She is in the Stake Relief Society presidency, so she's gone every other week visiting other Church units and helping out however they need.

Blog Memory Game!

Hi,

I thought this was cute and hope everyone will want to do it. Just leave a memory about any of the family.

Here's what you do:
1. Add a comment to this post on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot…anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you.
